India started day three with on 308 for the loss of four wickets on the board. Windies bowler did the right thing as they picked up the last six wickets in quick time.
Ajinkya Rahane and Rishabh Pant added valuable 152 runs to past score 300 for India. Windies skipper Jason Holder picked up three out of the six wickets. Holder bagged with five wickets, and he achieved it for the fifth time. India takes a healthy lead of 56 runs in the first essay.

Moreover, Windies couldn’t put up a good show in the second innings as they could only manage to score 127 runs. They lost their first two wickets within a short span of four overs. The opening duo Kraigg Brathwaite and Kieran Powell failed to provide a single run for their team. In-form Umesh Yadav and Ravichandran Ashwin did the early damage for Windies.

Yadav is the lone pacer in the match after his fellow Shardul Thakur injured himself in the first essay after delivering only ten balls. He has achieved his career-best bowling figures picking up ten wickets in the match. His numbers turned out to be 10/133 against the Windies in the second Test match at Hyderabad.

In addition to that, Sunil Ambris only scored the highest runs for his team. He took the initiative to score a huge total but failed to do so. Meanwhile, Umesh Yadav picked up four in the second essay and the spinners contributed the rest six of it. India only needs to score 72 runs to secure the match and whitewashed the visitors.

While chasing down the target, India opener, Prithvi Shaw and Lokesh Rahul ended the innings in quick time. The day was extended for a while, and the duo made it in the right way. Both of them scored 33 runs respectively, and India won the second Test of the two-match test series by ten wickets.
