After Arjen Robben discussed about his future, fellow team mate Xabi Alonso has also spoken about his future. The Spaniard’s contract expires at the end of the season. Despite this, he seems very relaxed about his future. When questioned about his time at Bayern and about future transfers he claimed that that he is happy at the German club and is enjoying his time.
Speaking to Goal, Xabi said, “At the moment I am focused on the season and Bayern,”
“I don’t know what is going to happen in (the) future but hopefully I will know soon. My family and I are feeling very comfortable in Munich and we are happy here.”
Xabi joined the Germans from Spanish giants Real Madrid in 2014. He is currently in his second season at the Allianz and rumours say that the midfielder is linked with a move back to his former club, Liverpool. The Merseyside team has been aiming for Xabi, since some time.
But the Spain international, who won the Champions League, Uefa Super Cup and FA Cup during his time at Anfield, is settled in Munich and hoping to resolve the uncertainty surrounding his future soon.
Xabi is 34 already and making a move back into the Premier League won’t work for him. Age will become an obstacle in his way to success at England. He has already achieved glory during his spell at Anfield, and doesn’t need to prove his potential, anymore. It only looks that Alonso will probably not look back at joining the Reds, again. Update on the same will follow soon.
