Arsenal’s misery doesn’t seem to reach an end. The North London club has faced yet another blow, this time. The Gunners’ injury list is increasing every match and reports now claim that the team will miss out on their key player Santi Cazorla for nearly 3 months. The Spaniard damaged his leg in the fixture against Norwich City.

According to reports, Santi has injured his knee ligaments and will be sidelined until March, 2016. This has massively shaken the team as the club will now be without both of their first choice midfielders until well into 2016 after Francis Coquelin was also ruled out three months with a knee ligament injury picked up against West Brom.

Cazorla was one of three players to injure himself at Carrow Road, with Alexis Sánchez and Laurent Koscielny failing to last until the end of the game. Cazorla, who was hurt when challenging Gary O’Neil for the ball, stayed on the pitch despite suffering the injury in the first minute of the second half. The midfielder limped on – “on one leg” according to his boss – until full time. He was struggling to run towards the end and stayed on only because Wenger had used his three substitutes. “The worrying thing was that it got worse,” Wenger said after the game.

Cazorla’s absence now puts Wenger in a situation of trouble as the midfield would be weakened without the key midfield player. Alexis Sanchez too misses out with an injury and will not feature until January, possibly. He has been given a break to recover from his injury.
