Team India skipper Virat Kohli recently revealed the importance of fitness in his life and how it has helped him to achieve new milestones in his career.
Meanwhile, Kohli opted out of the recently-concluded T20I series against Windies. The selectors decided to give him rest to keep him fresh considering the amount of cricket he has played in recent times. However, Virat Kohli has worked a lot on his fitness and is one of the fittest cricketers in the world.
The Indian skipper always likes to give his 120% on the field, and that is where his fitness plays a key role. Kohli is a livewire on the ground and is quickest in the running between the wickets. Speaking about the same, Virat Kohli has never looked at fitness to look good.

“I will not say something which is inaccurate. In fact, I will not say that ‘I never thought that fitness will make me look good’”, Kohli told India Today. Eventually, you realize that it does so much good to you in terms of your mental state, in terms of how you feel and how much more you can do,” he added.
Furthermore, Virat Kohli added it is equally important in every aspect of the field. He feels being less energetic will affect your productivity.

“It is not confined to just sport because even in work scenario as well if you are fit, you will not be able to work more and achieve more. You will be able to be more productive because if you lack energy, you will not be as productive as you should be,” he concluded.
