Further, Virat Kohli clarified they are not taking the Australian side for granted whatsoever. He added India came to compete against the Australian team and will remain the same still they leave the place.

“There’s no denying the quality they have in their side. They still have world-class cricketers. Obviously missing out on two of their best batsmen is not ideal for any team, but even then they have guys, especially in the limited-overs game, who can do damage at any given point of time,” said Kohli.
“You can never underestimate any side. We’ve come here to compete against Australia, the whole team, and we will definitely not take anything for granted,” he added while speaking in a press conference.

Well, the India skipper, Virat Kohli has got the valid point that they have come to compete against Australia side with or without Steven Smith and David Warner. However, it would be interesting to see how things would pan out.
