Leicester City boss Claudio Ranieri has been rewarded for his excellent start to life back in the Premier League by taking the Manager of the Month award for November.

The veteran Italian tactician has eventually beaten off a tough competition from Jurgen Klopp, Mauricio Pochettino and Roberto Martinez to land an early piece of silverware.

However, Ranieri last won a Premier League Manager of the Month award back in 2004 March, shortly before he was sacked and replaced by Jose Mourinho at Stamford Bridge.
Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri and Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp were among the top four nominees for the Premier League Manager of the Month award for November.

Everton manager Roberto Martinez and Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino also made it to the shortlist after a handful of positive performances in the top flight. However, Ranieri has stunned the Premier League by leading his squad to the top spot after 15 games. In November, the Foxes won two matches and held EPL giants Manchester United to a unexpected 1-1 draw at the King Power Stadium.

Klopp, who replaced Brendan Rodgers at Anfield in October, managed to recover from a shock defeat to Crystal Palace by demolishing Manchester City with a 4-1 win at the Etihad Stadium and grinding out a 1-0 victory over Swansea City.

Roberto Martinez’s fighting Everton squad featured in four top flight fixtures in November, picking up a stunning 8 points from a possible 12, and they also scored a combined 10 goals in the two wins against Sunderland and Aston Villa. Tottenham are also eyeing a top four finish in the league as they earned wins over Aston Villa and West Ham United, while snatching a point from Arsenal and Chelsea.
