Manchester United made the trip to The Goldsands Stadium on Saturday and were welcomed by their league rivals AFC Bournemouth in their clash in the Premier League, after the hosts who had managed to pull off a shocking win over the champions of England, Chelsea in their previous game at Stamford Bridge. After being knocked out of the Champions League due to their loss to Wolfsburg, the Red Devils would want to improve on that form this time around. Things have not been looking too great for the Manchester based side, who were dropping points in recent weeks and were fading away from their title challenge though Van Gaal had been keen on winning silverware this season.
Louis van Gaal’s side once again did not look confident and started off poorly and lost a goal in the 2nd minute of the game, as Stanislas scored for the hosts. However, the Dutchman’s side equalized on the 24th minute, as Marouane Fellaini put one in. There were no more goals in the first half, as the two sides went into the break at 1-1.
After the break, the home side looked more positive once again and took the lead in the 54th minute when King added a second goal for his team and the game ended in a 2-1 win to Bournemouth, with Van Gaal frustrated once again.
Here are how the fans of the club reacted on social media, along with the Arsenal and Liverpool fans who mocked their league rivals on Twitter after the loss:
#LVGOUT my faith has gone finally. McNair should never ever have played for United such a clumsy lad! Memphis not good enough either #MUFC

Imagine going from Evra, Neville, Rio, Vidic and other world class defenders to Varela, McNair and Borthwick-Jackson. Awful. #Doggers #MUFC

McNair seems like a very average defender.. Mistake waiting to happen just like Evans. Mata needs to do much more at no 10 #MUFC

I’ve been at the office for 15 minutes and I’ve already said “I don’t want to talk about it” 8 different times. Thank you, @ManUtd.
