It was a low-scoring thriller at Docklands Stadium, Melbourne. The home side Melbourne Renegades outsmarted Perth Scorchers in every section of the game to open their account in the points table. Meanwhile, Perth Scorchers would be pleased with their effort while defending a tally of 103 runs on the board.
Daniel Christian wreaks havoc:
Initially, it was Melbourne, who won the toss and asked the visitors to bat first. Usman Khan Shenwari sent Sam Whiteman for a cheap score while he was quickly followed by David Willey after scoring a couple of boundaries.
Though Michael Klinger stood in the middle, he never really got going in whacking the balls at a great strike rate. Mitchell Marsh failed to show his class while Ashton Turner, Ashton Agar failed to contribute.

Hilton Cartwright tried to up the ante but unfortunately, he couldn’t find any partner on the other side. Daniel Christian was sublime, who picked up three wickets while Kane Richardson wrapped up the innings with 3 wickets.
Jack Wildermuth and Usman Khan Shenwari also chipped in with a couple of wickets. In total, Perth Scorchers were bundled out for just 103 on the board to make a low-scoring chase.
Nabi, Harper overcomes early hiccups:
Melbourne got a nightmare of starts with four of their batsmen walking away without troubling the score writers. Jason Behrendorff and Nathan Coulter-Nile were sensational with their bowling, who rattled four quick wickets.
First Renegades three wickets:

However, Sam Harper and Mohammad Nabi stood tall in the middle to guide Melbourne to the victory. They both batted beautifully to turn the things in quick time for Melbourne.
