Serie A giants Napoli are now preparing a January loan move to sign young Manchester United right-back Guillermo Varela, as per reports coming from the Metro. The ex-Uruguay U-20 international was former boss David Moyes’ first signing for the Red Devils back in 2013 though he has just managed to make just two appearances for the Premier League outfit till now. He played the complete 90 minutes for the first time during the 0-0 draw against West Ham recently. The 22-year-old superstar was quite impressive in the game against the Hammers and was also part of the starting eleven in the club’s Champions League defeat to Bundesliga side Wolfsburg last week and looked quite good.
Further, it was added by Italian publication Gazzetta Dello Sport claims that the Italian side will now try their best to complete a deal for Valera in the new year before possibly sending him away on loan once again for the rest of the current campaign.
Also, the Manchester based side would not want to let the young defender go so easily, after losing France international Paul Pogba previously to champions of Italy Juventus in 2012.
Louis van Gaal’s side have not had the best of times in recent weeks and the Dutch manager would now not want to let go of one of his young stars any time soon.
It will be interesting to see what Van Gaal does next to keep hold of this young superstar, who could prove an asset for United in the near future.
