India after a lackluster performance in the series exited leaving Australia and England to play the final. But, one of the fatal and unfortunate incidents has happened during an India versus Australia match.
A high five celebration for Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan’s wicket off James Faulkner caused a severe pain to wicketkeeper Brad Haddin. Dhawan nicked an outswinger from Faulkner that landed in the safe gloves of wicketkeeper Brad Haddin.
Faulkner ran for celebration while Shane Watson and Brad Haddin also came for the same. But, the celebration turned into sorrow as Faulkner missed the hand of Haddin. The result of the mistimed high five was Brad Haddin’s eye injury.
Players from other fileding pistion rushed to celebrate the wicket, but Haddin was seperated and sat down covering his face in pain.
For a moment, nobody understood what had happened except Faulkner. Australia were playing the match under the captaincy of Steve Waugh as regular captain Michael Clarke had undergone a surgery.
