The Special One who lifted the Barclays Premier title just a few months ago was thrown out of the chair by the Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich after a dismal start to their title defense. Chelsea are now 16th in the Premier League table and have lost 9 of their 16 games in the league this season.

The latest defeat to Leicester was the last nail in his coffin as the owners of the club decided that it was in the best interest of the club to part ways with the manger. In last post match press conference after the Leicester City game, Jose Mourinho accused his players of betraying him and his methods.

In the week to the buildup of him getting sacked there were reports of several players getting into altercations with the Portuguese who was then sent packing to not only try and revive Chelsea’s season but also to change the player’s mentality.

With many pundits and fans speculating about what got the manger sacked and what he meant by being betrayed, star reporter Fabrizio Romano came up with an exclusive idea.

According to Romano, Ex Chelsea star Andriy Shevchenko played a big role in Mourinho’s sacking on Thursday. The Ballon d’Or winner has is known to have a sharp intellect and has been seen in Chelsea’s Sky Box in most of the recent games.

He has often found himself sitting next to Abramovich and has gained a vote of confidence from the owner. It is also rumored that Shevchenko was often found conveying thoughts and ideas from the owner to the players directly without the involvement of the sacked manager.

This kind of behavior and atmosphere in the Chelsea dressing room could only have an adverse effect on the side and has been portrayed in their recent results in the league. Certainly, this issue had a huge say in Mourinho’s departure from the Bridge.

After the sacking, it is also rumored that Shevchenko might be given some kind of a managerial role in the club. From the rifts in the dressing room to players not wanting to give their 100%, Mourinho only has himself to blame for the current situation he is in.

Players like Fabregas and Costa already showed their dissent towards the manager and it was surely better for the club and the franchise as a whole to let go of the Portuguese. His sacking became more and more in-evitable as games passed by with the situation at the Bridge only becoming worse.

Mourinho once again proved that he is the special one as even his departure had a special feel to it. Have your say on who Chelsea should appoint as their new manager.
