Sri Lanka made a sparkling comeback in the second test against New Zealand at Hamilton after being bowled out for 292 in the first innings. Riding on an exceptional bowling performance from Dushmantha Chameera, the visitors reduced the Kiwis to 232-9 before Day 2 abruptly ended. On a treacherous wicket, Chameera’s spell might have well turned the tide in Sri Lanka’s favor. The New Zealand middle order could not score freely and it was a rare failure for Kane Williamson. If Sri Lanka can hold on to the advantage, then they could be on their way to a famous win.
Twitter lauded the visitors for a great fight back and below are some of the tweets.

Blimey. When I went to bed at lunch, with Guptill and Latham in good touch, I would not have predicted this close of play score. #NZvSL
