India cricket stars KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya recently appeared on famous chat show Koffee with Karan hosted by eminent director and producer Karan Johar. Unsurprisingly, the episode managed to keep the fans glued to their television sets as the two cricketers went on to reveal some secrets about themselves, spilled some beans on their teammates and lot more.
One of the most interesting topics of the show was when the host asked the two to pick their favourite skipper. The debate was mainly between MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli. While both the players made their international debuts under Dhoni, they are set to spend the prime of their respective careers under Kohli.
Dhoni is the most decorated skipper in the history of Indian cricket. Till date, he is the only captain to win all the ICC tournaments – the 50-over World Cup, World T20I and the Champions Trophy. He is also the first Indian captain to lead the country to the top of the ICC Test rankings. Throughout his illustrious captaincy career, Dhoni achieved quite a few numbers of unprecedented captaincy records.

Well, only time will tell whether Kohli achieves to surpass Dhoni or not but right now, he is well on his way of creating his own legacy. India have been the number one Test team under Kohli’s captaincy for over two years now. He also led the team to the final of the ICC Champions Trophy in 2017.
Coming to Pandya and Rahul, both picked Dhoni as their favourite captain. And both had their own reasons for picking Dhoni, For Rahul, Dhoni’s achievement made him better while Hardik said so because he had made his limited-overs debut under him.
“MS Dhoni because I made my debut and it was fantastic,” Hardik Pandya said.
On the other hand, KL Rahul said: “In terms of achievement, yes MS Dhoni”.
