Kuldeep Yadav, in his brief career, has done enough to be called as the future star. The Indian bowler, who recently made it to ESPNcricinfo’s 2018 ODI Team of the Year, has picked his second five-for in Tests in Sydney. In due course, he became the first Indian bowler to pick five-wicket hauls across all formats outside Asia. Meanwhile, in 2018, Kuldeep Yadav had picked five-fors against England in a T20I and ODI game.
Kuldeep stars with the ball at the SCG
Australia couldn’t solve the mystery around Kuldeep Yadav; not only he had helped India wrapped Aussies’ first innings on 300, but also stamped his authority in style. On his first tour Down Under, Kuldeep starred with the ball, picking five wickets for 99 at the SCG. Last year, he had claimed his maiden five-for in Tests against the Windies in Rajkot.

Moreover, he has had a few more accolades to his name in international cricket. Apart from being the x-factor in the side, Kuldeep Yadav had also taken a hat-trick in an ODI game, which came against Australia at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata in 2017.
Meanwhile, off the five wickets, he had picked on day four of the Sydney Test, Tim Paine’s one was the best of the lot.

Kuldeep enters record books
The past year has been a one to remember for Kuldeep Yadav. On the England tour, the unorthodox spinner wreaked havoc, by picking up a six-wicket haul in the first ODI. Before that, Kuldeep outfoxed their batsmen in the first T20I, claiming five wickets in his four overs, helping India win the game, and take a 1-0 lead in the three-match series.

Though India won the T20I series (2-1), they lost the ODIs (1-2), even after winning the first game. Meanwhile, on the Test tour, Kuldeep just played one match, at the Lord’s. Later, he got dropped from the squad as well.
On the current Australia tour, Kuldeep Yadav played a crucial hand in the T20Is. Though the series tied at 1-1, his had picked four wickets from two games. In the Tests, he didn’t get to play the first three games but got a chance straightaway in Sydney.
