Harry Kane has shown he is nothing if not highly ambitious by vowing to catch up with Ballon d’Or favourite Lionel Messi’s calendar year goal scoring record before 2015 is over.

The Tottenham attacker right now has an impressive 30 goals till now this year and therefore just needs another 21 goals to match the Barcelona superstar’s total.

Harry Kane vows to catch up with Messi’s goal scoring record this year.

A Tottenham fan last night tweeted that Kane needs 21 goals to match Messi’s record in 2015 and the striker swiftly responded – no problem!

But unfortunately, the England striker only has two more fixtures, the Spurs’ festive matches against Norwich and Watford, in which he has to score the remaining 21 goals to tie with the Argentine master class.

The striker netted his 30th goal of the season in Tottenham’s last league outing against Southampton to help his club climb into the top four for the first time this season.

Not since defeating Crystal Palace on 20th September, have Spurs won a Premier League game without Kane scoring a goal.

After a somewhat sluggish start, Kane didn’t net for his team until 26th September in his ninth match, he has now scored nine in 12 matches.

Despite the clearly impossible task that lies before Kane, he is quite confident.

Norwich manager Alex Neil will be warning his boys ahead of Boxing Day fixture against Tottenham as Harry kane is on a mission.

Carry on Harry, we are with you!
