After missing out on India’s last six T20Is, MS Dhoni was seen slogging it at the nets ahead of the ODI series against Australia. It was an optional training session as most the cricketers decided to stay back in their room. Dhoni along with Kedar Jadhav took a feel of the leather and had a productive time at the nets.

MS Dhoni set to unleash his robust touch
Sydney will host the first ODI on January 12th, it will be followed by two more games to set up the 3-match ODI series between the two competitive sides. Batting coach Sanjay Bangar spent a good amount of time speaking to Jadhav while Dhoni went after the white ball. The visitors are the favorites to clinch the series after an impressive show in the Test series.

Virat Kohli’s India in good touch
Virat Kohli’s men became the first team from the sub-continent to win a Test series Down-Under. They will take the confidence into the ODI series even as some of the key players have departed for India while fresh faces joined the men in blue. India had a successful tour of South Africa last year, when it comes to the limited overs format. To add to that, the side had a good outing against Australia in the T20Is as well.

Dhoni missed out on India’s last two T20I series against West Indies and Australia. But he has been named for the T20Is against New Zealand, starting early February. Dhoni had a dry run in 2018 and will look to get among runs ahead of the world cup. The series against Australia will provide him a great opportunity to get back in the groove. It will be an ideal gig before bossing the shortest format in New Zealand. The team management have no second thoughts on Dhoni’s spot. And therefore the veteran cricketer should look to perform the role of a finisher once again.
