Australia wrapped up the formalities on the fourth evening in Melbourne to lift the Frank Worrell Trophy with one match to play. However, it must be said that the West Indians finally managed to put on a decent show despite the result suggesting otherwise. Chasing an improbable 460 for victory, the visitors were bundled out for 282 in the fourth innings.
The score was stretched mainly due to some able contributions from the lower order. Dinesh Ramdin and skipper Jason Holder scored half centuries to display the Caribbean zeal. Nevertheless, the Kangaroos won the game and have won the series with a test to go.
