Liverpool under Jurgen Klopp have already shown massive improvement on the pitch and are now showing a change in their transfer strategy as they are being linked with some huge talent in the country and in Europe.

Tagged a mid-table club with the recent performances, Liverpool have found it hard to not only keep hold of stars but also to attract top quality into the squad. They have often been accused of spending insane amounts on players who are not worth so much and will be hoping to set that straight under the Germans watch.

And with the January transfer window less than 48 hours away, they are being linked to West Bromwich Albion striker Saido Berahino. The 22-year old forward was on the radar of the Reds who failed to snatch him in the summer and are now reportedly just a step away from signing the youngster.

Berahino has evidently been un-settled at the Hawthorns and is understood to be keen on a move away from the club. He has made just 14 appearances for the club most of which were from the bench and he is trying to move away from the club to find some first team football.

The striker has loads of strength and is a real asset to any club. He is priced at 23.5 million and Liverpool is now close to agreeing a fee with the Baggies in a hope to complete the transfer as soon as possible. This move will snatch the English International from Tottenham Hotspur who are long term admirers of the player.

Jurgen Klopp has spoken about not spending too much in the January window but with injuries to three forward players in Ings, Origi and Sturridge, the German will surely like to have some extra depth to the squad.

Berahino will be a good fit in the Klopp system with his energy and pace and also has good finishing abilities that can help Liverpool in their pursuit to the top of the table. It is a surprise move from the Reds who are now not too far away from adding to their already impressive forward line.
