30 year old Watford defensive midfielder, Valon Behrami’s future has been discussed by the club. The Swiss has played just 5 games for the club this year. Quique Sanchez Flores has been speaking about the future ofWatford midfielder Valon Behrami.
Behrami has not started a match for Watford since September and has been linked with a move away from the club in January.
But Flores said: “I don’t have any doubts about [Valon] Behrami. I can’t guarantee first-team football for any player, so the guarantee to be in the first eleven for any player is to train well.
“Every single week is different for us. I can guarantee Valon Behrami is a very important player for us.”
Valon possesses a pass success rate of nearly 84%. He can play as a centre midfielder and also a centre defensive midfielder. Discussing about his strengths, Behrami’s ball interception is very brilliant. The CDM is majestic in his tackling, too.
Quique wants Behrami to earn a place for himself in the starting XI. The club values the player and wants him to strive hard and prove his worth. There has been no report of clubs being interested in him as of now. If Watford let loose of their player then maybe the rest of the PL clubs could use this opportunity to grab the midfielder. Behrami likes to play short passes and often prefers shooting from a distance. Behrami loves to tackle and gets fouled often.
Watford is currently 9th on the table after losing to Tottenham Hotspur at home on 28th December.
