Mario Balotelli moved to Liverpool before the start of last season and was supposed to help Liverpool to a top-4 finish. But the disastrous return from the Italian forward saw him sent back to AC Milan, the club who sold him to Liverpool, on a year- long loan deal.

Mario Balotelli is one of the most exciting players on a football field and off it. He has always been in the midst of controversy and is a player who loves the attention that comes with the sport. He is un-doubtedly a great talent but has often let himself down because of the lack of application.

So it does not come as a surprise that the 25 year old will return to Liverpool as soon as the load deal ends with the Italian club. Talking to Sky Sports, Balotelli’s agent Raiola confirmed that the player who is playing for AC Milan will complete his yearlong loan spell and will return to his parent club Liverpool in England.

The Italian forward has not been given enough chances at Milan as he made just 4 appearances for the club and scored just one goal in that time. He however picked up a groin injury in September and is yet to make an appearance for the club.

Raiola told Sky Sports: “He’s owned by Liverpool so at the end of the season he should go back. I know Klopp and hopefully will speak to him.”

It will be interesting to see if Jurgen Klopp thinks Balotelli can bolster his options but from the outset, he does not look like a player that will fit into Klopp’s system and it will be no surprise if the German manager tries to recover even a part of the £16m paid for the player in 2014.

Do you think selling Balotelli is the right thing to do?
