The year 2015 was not outstanding for India. Started with a Test series defeat in Australia, followed by an early exit from the tri-series involving Australia and England. But, semifinal finish in the world cup under MS Dhoni’s captaincy did not prevent India’s failure in world cricket. In the first series in Bangladesh, India was humiliated by the rejuvenated team Bangladesh while at home South Africa blew away India in the limited over series.

However, under the new Test captain, Virat Kohli India have won their series in Sri Lanka after 22 years  and bludgeoned South Africa 3-0 at home.

But, India’s failure in limited over cricket made India look ordinary. So, in 2016 India players should revive their limited overs fortune.

Here are 5 things  India should do in 2016

Bring a manager cum coach

The current Indian team is playing without a coach. With coach Duncan Fletcher’s time got over after the World Cup BCCI decided to continue with Team Director Ravi Sashtri. After the World T20 2016, BCCI said that will bring a coach in the Indian team  and decide about Ravi Shastri’s role in the team. With more young players coming into the team a full fledged coach will be needed to improve their technique to play on overseas condition and obviously needed a coach who can manages players like a mentor, not as a mere technical director.

Overseas performance

India’s overseas performance in the last few years is not good, so, should be careful about it this. With the first series start in Australia, which is a familiar condition to most of the current Indian players, should produce a convincing performance in both 5 match ODI and T20 series. India needs to settle down in the middle order. So, a good player management is needed to bounce back in the limited over cricket as a mighty force.

The current team is filled with talented players but, the middle order and tailender look shaky. With Manish Tiwary has been selected as a middle order batsman and pacer Mohammad Shami has back in the team it is expected that India should back in form.

India will tour Zimbabwe, West Indies and play a series against Pakistan in England.

World T20 2016

With World T20 2016 will be held at home so India will be the favourite team. But, the team BCCI selectors selected need to be tested in Australia because Asia Cup T20 in Bangladesh will be the last chance for India to settle down with a team which will play the World T20 at home.

The performances of player, especially of Yuvraj Singh and Ashish Nehra will be scrutinised.

Should have to remove injury scare among bowlers

Indian team affected with the absence of key bowlers. For example, Mohammad Shami has been out of cricket for almost ten months due to knee surgery. But, Indian has a tendency to lose good bowlers to injury. Talented Ashish Nehra wasted his career to injury. With young stars are coming in the squad physical trainer and selectors should be careful about them.

BCCI should stop grimy politics

The power of Big three – India, England and Australia-has been affecting cricket’ expansion as a global game as only these three teams enjoying the loins’ pie from ICC’s annual income. The new BCCI president and ICC chairman Shashank Manohar want to remove the current system. He has been termed as socialist president of BCCI. The profits should be shared among all Test playing, associate and Affiliated nations and would invest in developing the game in associate and affiliated countries. The job of BCCI should neutralise the administrative system in ICC.
