MS Dhoni just cannot stop firing out gems from behind the stumps. If his wicketkeeping is a treat to the eyes then his advise and sarcastic comments definitely serve the same purpose for the ears. Time and again the veteran has left his millions of fans in stitches with his unmatchable witty comments. Well, the world cricket once again witnessed it on Sunday during the fifth ODI between India and New Zealand.
The incident occurred when Kuldeep Yadav came on to bowl. The chinaman spinner was not happy with the field placements and wanted to shuffle it. However, Dhoni got annoyed by it and the result was absolutely hilarious. He absolutely destroyed his younger teammate with a savage comment. Comparing Kuldeep with the legendary Muttiah Muralitharan, Dhoni said:
“Muralitharan se jyada fielding me usko fark padta hai ( It roughly translates to ‘he has more problems with the fielding than Muralitharan.)”

India, meanwhile, went on to win the game by 35 runs. Rohit Sharma’s decision to bat first turned out to be a regrettable one early on with New Zealand bowlers all over India. Matt Henry gave the Kiwis the early breakthrough by castling Rohit Sharma before Boult accounted for Shikhar Dhawan to reduce India to 12 for 2. Highly-rated Shubman Gill failed to, scoring just 7 before Dhoni returned to the pavilion too with just 18 runs on the board. However, some fightback from Ambati Rayudu (90), Vijay Shankar (45) and Hardik Pandya (45) helped India post a challenging total of 252.
The score turned out to be more than enough in the end as India bowled out New Zealand for just 217 and wrap up the series 4-1.
