This could prove to be the most shocking transfer rumour of the window as La Liga giants Real Madrid wants to sign EPL and Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane as replacement of their superstar attacker Cristiano Ronaldo, according to Telegraph.
The rising star of England came to limelight last season when he became the second highest scorer of Premier League last summer. The youngster found the back of the net 21 times last time in 34 games just 5 less than golden boot winner Sergio Aguero. After a disappointing start to this season’s campaign Kane regained his fiery form and so far the Spurs star has scored 11 goals in 20 matches.
Since last summer, after an exciting previous season, Harry Kane was constantly linked with Real Madrid. Now as the January transfer window has begun the rumours have again started and the England international has been linked with the European giants.
It has now become a recurring habit of the media to speculate about Cristiano Ronaldo’s future with Real Madrid. The 31-year-old superstar have been great form so far in the season and have scored record number goals in the UEFA Champions League group stage. He is also among the top scorers in the La Liga.
The Portuguese superstar himself has clarified several times that he will not be leaving the club anytime soon and he is happy at Santiago Bernabeau. Now with the arrival of legendary French footballer and midfield maestro Zinedine Zidane at the club as the manager it is highly unlikely that Ronaldo will leave the club.
Also Harry Kane is an out and out striker compared to Cristiano Ronaldo who is more of left sided forward. Real Madrid already have Karim Benzema as their star front man and thus, a speculation of Kane relacing Ronaldo at the Spanish capital seems absolutely ridiculous.
