Jasprit Bumrah almost steered India to a victory in the 1st T20I of the series by giving just two runs in the penultimate over of the game but in the end, the results did not go in favour of the home side as the visitors scored 14 runs in the final over.

Despite the defeat, Jasprit Bumrah stole the limelight with his superb over.

Entrusted with the job to bowl the 19h over with Australia 16 runs away from the win, Bumrah did his job well.

He gave two runs in first four balls and dismissed debutant Peter Handscomb and Nathan Coulter-Nile on the last two deliveries to Dent Australia at a crucial juncture.

During the 19th over, Virat Kohli also gave some tips to Bumrah that worked in his favour.

But a video on social media has left the fans confused as the duo can be seen ignoring vice-captain Rohit Sharma, who was also present during the talk.

In the video, Kohli and Bumrah can be seen discussing tactics during the 19th over with Rohit also standing there but they did not consult him even once.

The bizarre scenario has left surprised but in the end, Kohli’s tips worked as the result of Bumrah’s over show.

Both Bumrah and Rohit are teammates at Mumbai Indians with the latter being the captain of it.

Despite Bumrah’s 19th over heroics, the result wasn’t in the favour of India as Australian tailenders chased down 14 runs in the final over.

Glenn Maxwell played a key role in Australia’s chase with his innings of 56 off 43 on a slow pitch. Australian opener D’Arcy Short scored 37 off 37, batting at a strike-rate of 100.00.

Earlier, KL Rahul did the job for India with the bat with his innings of 50 off 36. Virat Kohli also scored 24 off 17.

MS Dhoni scored 29* off 37 to steer India ahead but the former Indian skipper is being criticised for his slow innings.

He had also refused to run between the wickets in the last overs of the match.
