The Windies talisman all-rounder Andre Russell is back in the host’s team for the last two One Day Internationals against England. The gun all-rounder will arrive in Granada on Monday and he will available for selection for the last two matches of the five-match ODI series against England. The series is currently tied at 1-1. England had won the first match by six wickets whereas the Windies bounced back to win the second by 26 runs.
Meanwhile, the Windies experienced Kemar Roach has been ruled out from the ongoing series. Consequently, Andre Russell has replaced the injured fast bowler in the squad.

Kemar Roach is ruled out.
“Kemar Roach had to be withdrawn from the ODI series due to injury and will be replaced in the squad by the experienced Andre Russell for the last two matches. We believe Russell will add value to the squad,” the Chairman of CWI selection panel Courtney Browne said.
“We are well aware that although Andre’s bowling may be limited due to a knee problem, his tremendous batting ability to power the ball in the back end of the game will be an asset to the team. The panel takes this opportunity to wish captain Jason Holder and his team all the best for the remainder of matches in the series.”

Meanwhile, Andre Russell last played in the Windies colors in an ODI against Bangladesh in July 2018. He has all the experience under his belt and he would like to hit the ground running. Russell has the skills to change the complexion of the match and he is going to hold the key in the upcoming ICC World Cup 2019. He has scored 998 runs and has scalped 68 wickets in 52 One Day Internationals for the Windies.
The third ODI between Windies and England will take place today at Granada whereas the fourth match will be played at the same venue on 27th February.
