On the eve of second and final Twenty20 International of India vs Australia 2019 series, Team India bowling all-rounder Krunal Pandya briefed the media in a pre-game press conference reiterated all games are essential for the player like him who’re representing the Men in Blue. It’s interesting in the lead up to the 2019 World Cup, starting May 30 in the United Kingdom (UK).

The second T20 will commence on February 27 at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

“Every game is important when you play for India,” Krunal told in a presser.

The 27-year-old spin-bowling all-rounder from Baroda added the impending game in Bengaluru holds importance in India’s point of view. Concurrently, India is trailing the ongoing T20I series 1-0.

Earlier, visitors Australia clinched a low-scoring thriller by three wickets in Vizag on Sunday (February 24).

India eyes to level the series in Bengaluru:

However, Krunal is hopeful of making a strong comeback to level the T20I series by winning Bengaluru game.

“So, Bengaluru game is again a very important game as we are 1-0 down in the series. So, we’ll definitely go out there tomorrow to level the series,” Krunal added.

Also, Krunal has hailed the efforts of bowlers for almost spoiling the party of visitors. He added the bowlers are doing a great job in tandem to contribute for the national team.

“It was a great bowling unit effort, the way the bowlers bowled. Everyone, in fact, everyone chipped in and it was great that we almost defended 123 (127) which I said previously,” Krunal said.

Krunal, who bagged a solitary wicket of Ashton Turner to concede 17 runs in his quota of four overs. He believes there are a couple of encouraging moments to be taken from the Vizag T20I.

Batting first India posted 126 for seven in 20 allotted overs, Australia in response won the game when Pat Cummins and Jhye Richardson scampered for a couple to take the 1-0 lead.

For India, Jasprit Bumrah delivered brilliantly on his return by producing an incredible penultimate over. Overall, he conceded 16 runs in his quota of four overs to bag three scalps.

“So, obviously there are a lot of positives when it comes to bowling department, but it is just that you know when it comes to our batting unit when we have to be more cautious about it,” Krunal stated.

The left-arm orthodox spinner Krunal made his T20I debut against the Windies in November 2018 at Kolkata. Thereon, he went on to feature in 10 T20Is for the Men in Blue.

In 10 innings, Krunal has conceded 331 runs to bag 11 wickets at an average of 30.09. He has also claimed a four-wicket haul which came against New Zealand.
