Senior players Yuvraj Singh and Harbhajan Singh are all set to miss remaining matches of Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy for Punjab, a report in Sportstar suggests. It means that Punjab will miss be missing out on the services of their top players, who haven’t performed well in the tournament.
Yuvraj has scored 47 runs in the tournament while Harbhajan has gone wicketless so far. Punjab have lost all three matches they have played so far and will be without their senior players in rest of the three games.

This also means an end to their domestic season for 2018/19 as the completion of Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy will mark an end to the Indian domestic season.
They both will be turning up for their respective franchises in IPL next month.
Yuvraj Singh had been bought b Mumbi Indians at his base price of Rs 1 Crore in the second round of auction.

Harbhajan was retained by Chennai Super Kings ahead of the auction for IPL 12 and he will be once again playing under MS Dhoni for the defending champions.
Yuvraj played for Punjab in Vijay Hazare Trophy, Ranji Trophy and in the T20 tournament. In the ListA tournament, he scored 264 runs in seven matches at 37.71. In Ranji Trophy, Yuvraj scored 99 runs in seven innings.
Harbhajan only joined or the team for the T20 tournament, taking performing captaincy duties as well.
He did not play Vijay Hazare Trophy nor was he was part of the squad for Ranji Trophy.
He had played for the state in the first-class format in the last season.
In his absence, Mandeep Singh looks set to take back the captaincy. He was announced as the captain of the side for the Vijay Hazare Trophy had led the team after that.
In the next three matches of the T20 tournament, Punjab will be taking on Sikkim, Goa and Railways respectively.
They are presently sitting on the sixth position in Group C’s points table above Sikkim, who are also yet to register a win in the tournament.
