With a bid to strengthen their chances in the league this season and to add firepower in their teammate, the interim Chelsea boss has taken to raiding the ranks of a certain French club!
After a phenomenal win in the last season, the apple has fallen too far for Chelsea as they suffer at the bottom half of the table trying desperately to make it to the top. And with that aim, Guus Hiddink has been given the licence to get the required players that can take them to a salvageable position by the end of the season. Chelsea’s key players, who were their reckoning in the title winning season, have lost their touch which has potentially led to the downfall of the Blues. And in that light the Dutchman is eyeing two PSG superstars who can deliver for the Stamford Bridge outfit.
Chelsea’s main targets in this transfer window are Marco Verratti and Ezequiel Lavezzi. While Verratti can shoulder some of the burden of the Chelsea midfield, Lavezzi can be an important key in strengthening the attack that has been a worry for Chelsea with both Costa and Hazrad having turned into shadows of their previous brilliant selves.
While PSG might be willing to let go of the Argentinean forward, the same cannot be said about the 23 year old mid fielder. Many clubs have shown interest in the Itlalian and to keep them at bay, PSG have put a whopping price tag of 59 million pounds around the name of the midfielder who according to BuzzSport is an integral part of the team and a key figure in their future undertakings. As for the 30 year old force from South America, Chelsea would soon send representatives amidst the interests from the Reds, to talk about a potential deal and who knows that soon the PSG man might don the blue Chelsea shirt!
