When former Team India skipper MS Dhoni walked out in the middle during the 2nd ODI against Australia, the Nagpur crowd expected another MS Dhoni masterclass in one of his happy hunting grounds. However much to the dismay of the Indian team and to the spectators, MS Dhoni was dismissed off the very first ball of the bowling of Azam Zampa.
It was a great delivery from the leggie as he induced an outside edge from MS Dhoni’s bat. The stumper attempted a backfoot punch to the cover region but failed to time it and ended up giving a pretty simple catch to Usman Khwaja stationed in the slip cordon. Adam Zampa despite conceding 62 runs in his allotted 10 overs bagged the important wickets of the match winners from the previous match Kedar Jadhav and MS Dhoni.
MS Dhoni registered his 5th golden duck in his ODI career

It was the 5th time in his ODI career that MS Dhoni registered a golden duck. The last time when Dhoni was dismissed for a golden duck was back in 2010 against the same oppositions. MS Dhoni registered his first golden duck during his maiden ODI against Bangladesh back in 2005. Apart from the duck against Bangladesh, he has a couple of ducks each against Australia and Sri Lanka.
Virat Kohli led India to a competitive total of 250 runs
It was the Australian captain who won the toss and put the hosts in. India had the worst possible starts they could imagine as they lost Rohit Sharma in the final delivery of the opening over of the match. They lost Shikhar Dhawan early too. But it was a great knock by skipper Virat Kohli who got India back on track.
There was a middle-order stutter when India lost the wickets of Kedar Jadhav and MS Dhoni in quick succession. Again it was Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja who did the repair job and took India to a score of 238. However, their efforts in the last few overs weren’t impressive at all. They ended up losing the last 4 wickets for just 12 runs, thus managing to score a par score of 250 runs.

Australia has started off in a brilliant manner and when the article was written they were yet to lose a wicket and had already scored 76 runs. MS Dhoni despite scoring a golden duck might still has a role to play in the match as a leader. The home team needs wickets or else the visitors look pretty ruthless at the moment. Aaron Finch is batting on 33 while Usman Khawaja is batting on 35.
