Jasprit Bumrah ended India’s innings in the fourth ODI against Australia on a brilliant note. After suffering a 32-run loss in the third game, India bounced back in style in the ongoing game, piling up a huge 358 for 9 in the allotted 50 overs. Opening duo Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan bounced back to form to lay the foundation for the huge total. The two added 193 runs for the first wicket to set the tone for the remainder of the innings.
Jhye Richardson ended the stand when he dismissed Rohit to deny the latter a well-deserved century by just five runs. Dhawan, on the other hand, went on to complete a fine ton and also a much-needed one. He added 61 runs for the second wicket with KL Rahul before being castled by Pat Cummins for 143. Australia then threatened to pull back things by dismissing in-form Virat Kohli cheaply before Rahul and Rishabh Pant steadied the ship.

However, before India could cross the 300-run mark, Rahul fell too. Pant then played some big shots but he too could remain till the end. Confident after taking some quick wickets, Australia tightened up things, conceding just 18 runs from 46th over to 48th. Vijay Shankar then broke the shackles by hitting two sixes and a four before falling on the second delivery of the last over bowled by Cummins. After conceding a six on the first ball, Cummins then pulled back things and gave away just two runs on the next four balls before Jasprit Bumrah stunned him with a six.
Not known for his batting, Bumrah swung his bat hard and managed to connect well to clear long-on with ease. And the six not only stunned Cummins but also his own teammates as Virat Kohli and others jumped from theirs seats and started appluading hilariously.
