The Indian captain Virat Kohli one of the few to extend their wishes for the people affected in the ghastly act at Christchurch. The right-handed batsman shared his thoughts on such a coward act and asked the people to stay safe. Recently, Ravichandran Ashwin and ICC also gave their thoughts on the incident.

On Friday, a few people armed with guns shot people dead at Christchurch. The incident took place right in front of the Bangladesh Cricket Team, who toured New Zealand for a bilateral series. The players were present right at the incident but managed to escape quickly.

Speaking of the incident, the Indian skipper Virat Kohli quoted that it is shocking to hear such news. Further, he added that his thoughts are with the Bangladesh Cricket Team and asked them to stay safe.

Digging into his tweet, it read ”Shocking and tragic. My heart goes out to the ones affected by this cowardly act at Christchurch. Thoughts with the Bangladesh team as well, stay safe.”

Actually, the incident took place right in front of the Bangladesh team’s bus. After watching the incident the players returned quickly into the bus. After a few minutes of time, they were moved to Hagley Oval stadium, via the park nearby.

After reaching the stadium safely, the Bangladesh cricketers revealed the news via there official Twitter panels citing that they are safe. As a precautionary measure, the respective cricket bodies agreed to cancel the Third Test between Bangladesh and New Zealand.

Bangladesh toured New Zealand for ODI and Test series. They lost 3-match ODI series and also failed to make an impact in the 3-match Test series. They already conceded series to New Zealand by losing an initial couple of games with a massive margin.

Perhaps, shooters targeted the Mosque today, as Muslim people visit in large number on Friday. Meanwhile, New Zealand ordered people to stay back home until further notice is served.
