India’s leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal feels the pressure of playing for the country and playing in the Indian Premier League, are two different ball-games. In fact, there is no doubt playing for the country is different as there is national pressure. Similarly, Chahal feels there is slightly less pressure when you represent the franchise.
However, there is always pressure to perform for both the national side as well as the club. Meanwhile, Yuzvendra Chahal has been an integral part of the ODI side. The leg-spinner has delivered the goods in the last two years. However, his recent form has dipped as he hasn’t picked wickets at regular intervals.

Chahal will like to roar back into form.
Chahal was part of the Mohali ODI against Australia. However, the leg-spinner had conceded 80 runs in his 10 overs quota. Thus, Chahal was dropped from the final ODI.
Meanwhile, Australia was able to clinch the ODI series. Chahal gave credit to the visitors as they were able to come up with a complete collective team performance.
“Even they (Australia) were here to play cricket. We were not playing against a gully cricket side. They played us very well. Now we can prepare ourselves more. There was a bit of dew that day. Maxwell batted well. You get to learn how to bowl in dewy conditions. Kuldeep and I worked on it,” he was quoted as saying by the Hindu.
“The pressure is different when you’re playing for India, compared to the IPL.”

On the other hand, Yuzvendra Chahal has been in and out of the team in the recent past. Chahal hasn’t been at his best and thus he has been the prey of the rotating policy of the team. However, Chahal is not losing his sleep and he believes that his job is to perform and he is leaving the selection to the coaches.
“My job is to perform and selection is for the coaches to decide. I’m not worried about selection. I’m just excited by the thought of playing in the World Cup,” he added.
Meanwhile, Yuzvendra Chahal will like to get back into form in the upcoming Indian Premier League. Royal Challengers Bangalore will kickstart the IPL when they will take on Chennai Super Kings in the opener of the tourney on 23rd March at Chepauk Stadium.
