Arsenal play Stoke City on Sunday and in his press conference before the game Wenger says that social media is a growing problem.

Arsene Wenger’s last trip to the Britannia was one to forget as they lost to Stoke 3-2 and then Wenger was subjected to the abuse from some Arsenal fans who were unhappy with the result.

Wenger, however, doesn’t take the abuse to be personal and will still take the train despite the incident last year. Wenger was abused by some angry Arsenal fans when on his way to London.

“I didn’t take it personally. I was sad and upset more by the result than by the individual reactions of people, which I can understand. When you love a club, you want the results to be positive.

“We travel in what we think is the best and the shortest way, You want as well not to be isolated too much because you want contact with people who love the club, you want contact with the fans.” “I was sad and upset more by the result than by the individual reactions of people, which I can understand. When you love a club, you want the results to be positive.

Although Wenger did not take that attack personally he believes that such attacks will be more common.

“But that problem, I see it in Europe. It exists a lot in France, with disenchanted people coming out and having an aggressive behaviour.

“It might be one of the problems that football has to face in the coming years. You see it in many countries now, more and more.”

“It’s a more common thing now and I believe it will be a problem in the coming years,!

And he feels that social media will be responsible for much such incidents

“Maybe with social networks everyone’s opinions are strengthened with other people who have the same opinion. Before, your opinion was a bit more isolated. Today it straight away becomes a stream. People think the same way and it becomes a force.”
