Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) fast bowler Navdeep Saini held his composure to perfection to grab an outstanding catch to dismiss Krunal Pandya during match 7 of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) against Mumbai Indians at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.

Meanwhile, Mumbai who made two changes going into this game got off to a good start after Virat Kohli asked them to bat first. Rohit Sharma and Quinton de Kock flashed hard at the new ball bowlers taking advantage of the powerplays. The right-hand-left-hand combination added 54 runs within 6.3 overs to set the tone for the batters to come. Yuzvendra Chahal drew the first blood for the home side as he rattled the stumps of Proteas cricketer from behind.

However, Rohit Sharma continued with the onslaught and scored 48 runs before getting out. This brought veteran Yuvraj Singh to the crease who announced his form in the last game. The southpaw smacked three consecutive sixes off Chahal. But the India spinner continued to toss the ball and was rewarded with the wicket of Yuvraj when he attempted to put the fourth delivery out of the ground. Bangalore used the opportunity to exert more pressure and in the process got the wicket of Suryakumar Yadav, Kieron Pollard, and Krunal Pandya. The young pacer Navdeep Saini timed his jump to perfection to grab the catch of Krunal.

It was a bouncer from Umesh Yadav, and Krunal Pandya tried to play a hook shot. Sain took an outstanding catch keeping his composure at the boundary ropes. The umpires were in doubt and sent it upstairs. It’s a legal ball, and no part of the boot and pant has touched the ad-cushions as Krunal walked back to the pavilion.
