Pakistan cricket team has stuck with yet another major blow in the form of Shoaib Malik. The flamboyant cricketer, who was assigned to lead the side for the series against Australia has been injured. Now, he is replaced with Imad Wasim, who will lead the side in the 4th ODI of the series.
Shoaib Malik has got the bruised rib, which will see him on the sidelines of the series. The all-rounder hasn’t had a good series so far but an important player for Pakistan heading into ICC World Cup 2019.
The notable statistician of Pakistan Mazher Arshad revealed the news by tweeting it on his official twitter panel. Digging into his tweet, it read:
”Imad Wasim to captain Pakistan in today’s ODI against Australia. Shoaib Malik has been ruled out due to a bruised rib.”

Pakistan would like to save their pride:
Pakistan made quite a few changes in order to salvage the series but did not get the better of the Australian side who had also made a few changes to its squad.
Usman Khan Shinwari played his first game of the series while Junaid Khan too was roped in for the third ODI, both pacers impressed in the match and could retain their spots in the playing XI for the 4th ODI match on Friday.
Australia on the other hand, made a few changes to the bowling side which only made the attack more stronger. Jason Behrendorff replaced Jhye Richardson, while an extra spinner was added in place of Nathan Coulter-Nile.
Meanwhile, it would be a big task for Imad Wasim to look after the new set of players. Currently, Australians are in a blistering form while Pakistan is still searching a way to win their first game of the series. So far, Australia won the three games out of three.
