IPL 2019 | Kagiso Rabada | Virender Sehwag |
IPL

Former Indian National Cricket team skipper Virender Sehwag showered high praise on Kagiso Rabada after he led Delhi Capitals to a super over win over Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Feroz Shah Kotla in Delhi.

Meanwhile, Delhi Capitals lost momentum at the end of the game to stretch the tie to the Super Over. Prasidh Krishna actually did really well to keep Delhi to ten, and a match would’ve worked just as fine for them, and then when Andre Russell smashed the first ball for a boundary, it looked all gone. But Kagiso Rabada had some other plans as he bowled Russell and then defended the target to register lowest ever IPL super-over defended.

Delhi; however, had the game in their favour from the beginning before a flurry of wickets shifted the momentum. Prithvi Shaw and Shreyas Iyer were of top-class both showing some outstanding technique to close in on the target of 185 runs set by the Kolkata Knight Riders. However, Kuldeep Yadav’s late blow and a timely runout of Colin Ingram helped Kolkata finish the game on even-stevens before the umpires had to rely on super over to find a winner.

He smacked a 28-ball 62 including four boundaries and six massive sixes to continue his swashbuckling form. Dinesh Karthik also provided good support with a timely half-century.
