Chennai Super Kings skipper MS Dhoni turned the clock back as he smashed Jaydev Unadkat for 3 sixes in the last 3 legitimate deliveries of the CSK innings during the 12th match of IPL 12 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. It was carnage on display by MS Dhoni as he remained unbeaten on 75 of 46 deliveries which were studded with 4 fours and 4 sixes.
The last over started with Ravindra Jadeja on strike. He smashed a straight six of the first delivery to get things going. He took a single in the next delivery and it was all MS Dhoni from there on. He bowled a couple of wide deliveries in between and the other three deliveries were smoked out of the park by MSD.

MS Dhoni smashes Jaydev Unadkat for 3 sixes in the final over
It was sensational strokeplay by the skipper who took his time to get going. Eventually, the over yielded 27 runs to help Chennai Super Kings finish on 175 in their allotted 20 overs. Yet again MS Dhoni showed why he is still the best-limited overs wicketkeeper-batsman available in the country.

The credit of the knock goes a notch further when you consider how he paced his innings to perfection. He didn’t play a single big shot of Jofra Archer and waited for the last over. He unleashed a barrage of big shots in the last over which proved to the decisive moment for CSK.
After batting first, Chennai Super Kings were under pressure after losing two quick wickets. It was Suresh Raina who played a good knock in the middle to resurrect the innings. However, wickets kept falling on a consistent basis which never really allowed CSK to press on the accelerator during the middle overs. It was the MS Dhoni and Dwayne Bravo partnership which provided the late impetus to CSK.

Rajasthan Royals have come out to bat and have already lost the wicket of Ajinkya Rahane when the article was published. Sanju Samson and Jos Buttler is currently at the crease hoping to resurrect Rajasthan Royals in their run chase.
