Manchester United look unlikely to reach the top of the Premier League table but they are tipped to be on top of the Football Money League table next year. Football Money League results were published by Deloitte for the last year and although United dropped to third in that table, the future looks promising.
According to Manchester Evening News United’s expectations of record trading results following their extraordinary deal with Adidas to supply the club’s kits means that money will not be a hurdle anymore for Manchester United and so they will look to complete deals for their top two targets sometime this year – Everton’s John Stones and Real Madrid’s Gareth Bale.
First United will look to sign England’s best young defender John Stones from Everton. A £45m offer will be too much for Everton to refuse and United will get their man.
Unsurprisingly their next target is Gareth Bale who has been linked with a move to the Old Trafford club from his time at Tottenham and hopefully for United a 100m will bid will suffice.
Although, Everton played hardball with Chelsea over John Stones’ transfer an offer of £45m might be too good to refuse for the Toffees who would find it hard to turn down another transfer request from John Stones.
After Rafa Benitez’s departure, reports that Gareth Bale would be leaving Real Madrid in the summer started gathering pace but a two-window transfer ban slapped on Madrid by FIFA means that Bale might have to stay for a few more season with the Los Blancos.
