Behrendorff's spell set the tone for us: Rohit

Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma received plaudits from former English skipper Michael Vaughan after Mumbai Indians managed to win their 3rd match of IPL 12 against the Sunrisers Hyderabad quite convincingly by 41 runs. Rohit Sharma is the joint most successful captain in the tournament along with MS Dhoni with 3 titles to his name.

Taking to his Twitter handle, Michael Vaughan wrote that Rohit Sharma is a very good captain, especially for the Mumbai Indians. Over the years his captaincy skills have only evolved to a different level. His calm and composed demeanour just like MS Dhoni makes him a great skipper. He has all the attributes to become a great skipper. However with Virat Kohli taking over the reins from MS Dhoni in limited overs cricket a couple of years back, chances of Rohit Sharma leading Indian consistently seems bleak.

The three-time champions will be delighted after the way they have started in the tournament. Mumbai Indians has always been known as slow starters who have more often than not faltered in the first few matches. However this time around, Mumbai Indians have already 3 out of the 5 matches played so far with back to back victories against Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Alzarri Joseph, the young Windies speedster who made his debut for Mumbai Indians yesterday created history and bagged the best figures in IPL history. He finished with 6/12 breaking the 12-year record by Sohail Tanvir when he had achieved the feat back in the inaugural edition. Mumbai Indians managed to defend a below-par score of 136 quite comprehensively.

It was a sensational performance by the MI bowlers which was led by Alzaari Joseph. Leg-spinner Rahul Chahar also played a very important role as he bagged the prized wicket of Jonny Bairstow to put them in the backfoot. From there on, wickets kept falling on a consistent basis and there was no way back for Hyderabad. They were eventually bowled out on 95, thus handing MI a 41 runs victory.
