Delhi Capitals (DC) skipper Shreyas Iyer led the team from the front as they beat Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) by four wickets at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore. Scripting a convincing win, Iyer said that victories give good satisfaction and once can get to see the smiling faces.
Meanwhile, Iyer led the chase with the bat scoring 67 runs off 50 deliveries including eight boundaries and two sixes. He stitched three crucial partnerships with Prithvi Shaw, Colin Ingram and Rishabh Pant to take his side close to the winning run. Although Delhi Capitals lost three quick wickets at the fag end of the game, Axar Patel ensured they sail home easily. Speaking at the end of the game, Shreyas Iyer admitted that the wicket was tough to bat. The Delhi skipper also added that he wanted to play possitive which worked out well for his side.

Also, Iyer said that Royal Challengers Bangalore were 10-15 runs short and gave credit to Kagiso Rabada, who returned with a four-wicket haul. He picked four crucial wickets to contain RCB for 149 runs.
“It was tough to bat on. I decided to play positive. That was my mindset and it worked out well. I was trying to manoeuvre the ball into the gaps. I think they were 10-15 less on this track. Our bowlers bowled really well. Especially Rabada in his last two overs,” Iyer said.

Delhi Capitals have been inconsistent this season winning only their second game of the season. Shreyas Iyer admitted that it feels great to win matches, and also it brings smiles on the faces of the players. He also seemed satisfied with his consistency and wants to keep up the good work. In conclusion, Shreyas Iyer admitted that they will look to work on the areas ahead of their next game to keep the winning streak going.
“Obviously, we need to think about the areas we need to work on. It’s a big satisfaction when you win games. You get to see the smiling faces. I am doing alright as a skipper and want to maintain it,” he concluded.
