Over the years, Kolkata Knight Riders have got the history of finding new talents in their side. Sunil Narine, Chris Lynn are a few of those special talents and now, they roped in yet another talented youngster Matt Kelly. He will replace South Africa’s Anrich Nortje in the team.

Anrich Nortje is a special talent of South Africa, who can deliver the goods for the team with his fast bowling. He got the knack of picking wickets with his express pace and also got the mastery of outsmarting the batsman with his tactics.

Matt Kelly played for Perth Scorchers in BBL:

Unfortunately, he sustained a shoulder injury, which kept him away from tasting the essence of the Indian Premier League. In between, the opportunity struck the door of Matt Kelly, who was signed by Kolkata Knight Riders for the remainder of the season.

Matt Kelly is a fast bowler, who represented Perth Scorchers in the Big Bash League. It is a bit surprising move from Kolkata, as Matt Kelly isn’t a regular player in the side. However, the member of the coaching panel Simon Katich would have suggested the youngster’s name.

So far,  Kelly has played 16 First-Class matches, five List A games, and 12 T20 games. He is yet to receive a call-up from the national team but he managed to crack the deal to play in the lucrative tournament in the franchise cricket.
