Last year finalist, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) has been inconsistent in this edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) and will aim to hit the strides when they take on defending champions Chennai Super Kings on April 17 (Wednesday) at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.
Hyderabad have mainly struggled due to their middle order who have failed to stand up when required. Jonny Bairstow and David Warner has been the best opening partners in the tournament so far and have delivered for their sides. But the team have failed to capitalise on the momentum provided the opener duo.
The bowling also have done significantly well, and Sunrisers Hyderabad will now hope to regroup themselves and come out as a better bowling unit.

Kane Williamson has been in and out of the playing XI due to injury which has affected his performance. The Kiwi skipper will be keen to hit the strides with the premier event in sight.
VIJAY SHANKAR
The Indian selectors have bestowed the responsibility of the no four batsman on Vijay Shankar in the upcoming World Cup. The Tamil Nadu all-rounder still has few games in IPL to gain his confidence back and help Sunrisers Hyderabad return to form.
YUSUF PATHAN
The veteran cricketer has been in inconsistent and needs to get his touch back to keep Sunrisers Hyderabad in contention for the playoffs. Yusuf Pathan can finish games single-handedly, and the management will expect to see a replay of some of his classical knocks.

Deepak Hooda has been in and out of the playing XI and will look to cement his berth with a swashbuckling knock against the Chennai Super Kings. Besides, he is also a good fielder who will add value to the team.
ABHISHEK SHARMA
Abhishek Sharma made his debut for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the last game. The young cricketer can chip in with both bat and ball and will hope to live up to the expectations of his owners.
RASHID KHAN
Rashid Khan has been very average in this tournament with his leg-spin on. However, the Afghan cricketer has developed his batting skills and is also a good fielder to give his game a new dimension. The young cricketer will have to be in his best to contain a heavyweight Chennai Super Kings batting.
BHUVNESHWAR KUMAR
Bhuvneshwar Kumar has quietly done his job for Sunrisers Hyderabad over the year. The India fast bowler will have to be in his best if Sunrisers Hyderabad wants to make a comeback in the tournament.
SANDEEP SHARMA
Sandeep Sharma has looked out of socks in this IPL and has been inconsistent in picking wickets for the Sunrisers Hyderabad. The young fast bowler will have to deliver well with Siddarth Kaul sitting on the sidelines.
KHALEEL AHMED
Khaleel Ahmed impressed in his very first game for the Sunrisers Hyderabad in this IPL. Meanwhile, the young fast bowler will be a bit sad for missing out on the World Cup squad but will look to keep his down and continue performing and be in the reckoning for the national selection.
