The unrest at Old Trafford has continued over the last few weeks and rumors are doing the rounds about a number of players wanting out from the team.

England national, Michael Carrick may be ready to quit the Manchester Outfit, The Sun reported earlier today.

The 34-year-old is out of contract with United at the end of the season and though he has not yet decided on his future, but is understood to be happy to listen to offers for a move away from Manchester.

The midfielder, with just 5 months left on his contract and is now free to negotiate and sign a pre-contract with any club he likes and it is understood that a number of European teams are keen on signing the experienced international this summer.

Carrick is seen as a player who can still compete at the highest level but his affinity with the Manchester outfit might rule out a move to any Premier League rivals.

In his 10th year at the club, Carrick has just not been able to get a regular place in the Red Devil squad even as England manager Roy Hodgson has him in his plans for the Euros. So it is unlikely that the Old Trafford outfit will hand him a contract extension.

So a race for his signature is expected to start at the end of the tournament in France and it is understood that the clubs in the United States will have an eye on his progress.

Newcastle United and PSG were both linked with a move for the veteran but it will be interesting to see where the United faithful will end up after he leaves Old Trafford.

Do you think Carrick still has the ability to change United’s season?
