Chelsea challenging Arsenal for the signature of Ben Chilwell
Arsenal’s hope of signing the highly-rated defender, Ben Chilwell has taken a dent as Chelsea have leapfrogged the North London team to the player’s signature, says Daily Star. It was earlier reported that Arsenal’s bid of three million pounds was laughed off by Leicester City, who demands more for the youngster.
Ben Chilwell has been instrumental in Leicester City’s high-fly this season, and Claudio Ranieri will remain stiff to keep potential suitors away from his player, however, a huge money offer could tempt the coach. Chelsea are currently lining up a similar bid of eight million pounds, which are more than double what Arsenal offered.
Arsenal chasing Brozovic
With Jack Wilshere’s recovery has hit with a new setback and Tomas Rosicky suffering another injuring after playing just minutes after his return, Arsene Wenger is looking to Inter Milan for Marcelo Brozovic.
The Croatian is a genuine option to cover the position of midfield left vacant by Rosicky and Wilshere, Wenger feels as reported by The Telegraph. Wenger will try to lure him with a bid of around 16 million pounds, or else should up the bid for the industrious service of the midfielder.
Newcastle set to sign Arsenal target
