Manchester United are waiting for Real Madrid to return with a fresh bid for their long-term target goalkeeper David De Gea in the summer, according to a report from the Mirror. The La Liga giants revealed on Friday that the Fifa Appeal Committee has provisionally suspended the two-window transfer ban slapped on them because of the irregularities in signing U18 players. The report suggests Real Madrid will place a bid around £23m along with offering De Gea a £6.5m payment as an apology for their failed attempts to sign him last term. The 25-year-old Spaniard is once again enjoying a great form for United despite the whole team’s unimpressive display in this campaign.

While in other news, the Red Devils have been linked with Benfica youngster Renato Sanches and, if the report from Calcio Mercato is true, then they are on the verge of completing a €40m deal to secure the service of the Portuguese midfielder. The 18-year-old Benfica star with his stunning form this season would certainly command a sizable fee if any club wants to sign him half way through the season. Sanches believed to be has a €80m release clause in his contract and while the Portuguese club are not likely to demand exact that figure, it is still a starting point for any negotiation.

Michael Carrick is keen to leave Old Trafford at the end of this season following another year of frustration which eventually hints the 34-year-old United star could miss the last opportunity to play for England. Roy Hodgson’s men will make the trip to France in the summer for the European Championship and Carrick is concerned that he will be left out of the squad. Carrick’s contract with the Red Devils will end in five months and he has already started to consider a life away from Old Trafford, where he has enjoyed just less than ten seasons, would look like. The Sun reports Newcastle United have shown interest in the past, as have the French champions Paris Saint-German, but Major League Soccer remains the most likely destination for Carrick.

Deadline day always comes with so much fun and entertaining transfer rumours and it now appears that Spanish news outlet Don Balon is serving up one shocking news for us to enjoy a day early. This one is especially for the Manchester United fans. They claim that Barcelona have set a new target in their crosshairs after they failed to sign Celta Vigo striker Nolito and the new target is none other than Manchester United star Juan Mata.

Tottenham Hotspur have informed Manchester United they will not allow Danny Rose to leave for the north west, the Mirror reports. It is believed that the Red Devils have already sent scouts to see the Englishman on the last four occasions and are ready to bid for him in the summer. Louis van Gaal is still searching a long-term cover for injured Luke Shaw, and the Dutch manager regards Rose as the ideal man for that task.

The Old Trafford hierarchy is also reportedly ready to loan out midfielder Nick Powell to Hull. Hull manager Steve Bruce is believed to be keen on the 21-year-old as the Tigers are desperate for their promotion push. The Daily Star claims the former Crewe man has given a medical and is expected to seal a deal before tomorrow’s deadline after successful talks between the two clubs. Powell has really struggled with persistent injuries over the last 12 months and he needs regular football to get his career back on track.
