Chelsea visited MK Dons in a crucial match for their flailing season as they look to raid on the cups having lost all hope in the league. With both the teams languishing in the wrong end of the table in their respective leagues, the one from the Premier League enjoyed a rout over their less illustrious opponents as they shot 5 past the team with ease in a highly entertaining match for the Blues’ faithful.

Chelsea:

Thibaut Courtois: 4

He put his issues of the past game away and put in a great performance against a very physical side who were always trying to unnerve him with physicality during set plays. Spot on distribution.

Baba Rahman: 3

Decent while going ahead but left Terry horribly exposed often. Was always available to help out Hazard, Oscar or Costa up in the pitch.

John Terry: 3

Was relatively poor considering he should be owning such opponents. As usual, the pacey opponents were a constant thorn as he was brandished a yellow early on.

Gary Cahill: 2.5

Didn’t do his chances to play any favours as he was always backing off. Zouma has this position firmly in his grasp.

Branislav Ivanovic: 3.5

Ivanovic was a beast as he was dominating his flank with ease. He managed to defend particularly well and was always willing to bomb upfield.

Nemanja Matic: 2.5

Recovering but way off his best. He will need to build upon this performance and slowly improve his tempo if he any hopes to hold his position in the squad.

Cesc Fabregas: 3

Great while attacking but a total liability in defence. Needed the help of Matic of Oscar way too often for a holding player but compensated with sublime lofted balls all over the pitch.

Oscar: 4.5

The best player on the pitch by far. A scintillating run and finish for his third goal. Perfect day for the Brazilian as he took away the match ball.

Ruben Loftus Cheek: 3

A great outing from the player who showed flashes of skill but gave back almost nothing while Chelsea had to defend.

Eden Hazard: 3.5

A decent outing from the Belgian who looks to be recovering. Finally got his first goal of the season and will be looking to build on this performance.

Diego Costa: 3

Great striker play from the Spaniard who looked to play on the shoulder of the opposing centre halves. Runs were perfect and had a great shot saved miraculously by the opposing keeper.

Bertrand Traore: 3

Decent play from the youngster who scored his first for Chelsea. He will be competing for the position with Pato and will need more goals like this to stay in the race.

Pedro: 2.5

Anonymous again. The player needs to have a rediscovery as he looks to have fallen completely from his rhythm.

Willian: 3

A very typical Willian play in the final half hour as Chelsea looked to hog possession instead of heaping further misery on their opponents.
