India’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Syed Akbaruddin has revealed his admiration for MS Dhoni and how he has inspired him. Akbaruddin was India’s representative in getting Jaish-e- Mohammad chief Masood Azhar listed as a global terrorist by the United Nations Security Council. He stated that the never say die attitude of MS Dhoni has always inspired him.
Meanwhile, the United Nation on Wednesday gave Masood Azhar as a “ global terrorist” after China didn’t agree on the proposal to blacklist the criminal terrorist. When Masood became blacklisted, his financial assets were also frozen with it which in turn also prevented him from flying across the globe. China had earlier blocked similar proposals to designate Azhar in 2009, 2016 and 2017.
“I am a believer in MS Dhoni’s approach… thinking that there is more time than what you think there is while trying to fulfil any goal. Never say time’s up. Never give up early,” Akbaruddin was quoted as saying by the Indian Express.
The former Indian skipper has been a great ambassador of the game and has done a lot for the Indian national team. He is the on;y skipper in world cricket to lead his nation to title victories in three major ICC trophies, the ICC World Cup, the ICC World Twenty20 and the ICC Champions Trophy World Cup.
