With the second edition of the T20 Mumbai League getting underway on May 14, the promising youngster Prithvi Shaw will lead North Mumbai Panthers. The opening batsman who has shown his grit has already left an impact in the domestic fold.
Besides, to name a few, Pravin Tambe, Sairaj Patil, Sumeet Dhekale and Yashasvi Jaiswal will be the part of North Mumbai Panthers.
Also, the veteran cricketer Umesh Patwal will guide the North Mumbai in the impending T20 tournament.
Interestingly, since the inception of the Twenty20 Mumbai League, the legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar has been named as the league’s brand ambassador.
The former Under-19 World Cup-winning skipper has expressed his delighted before breaking into the national fold. The tournament is being held under the tutelage of Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) and Probability Sports.
It’s important to point out that the league has proved to be a breeding ground for the young guns.
Thus, it has paved the way for the youngsters to share the dressing room with senior-most players.
According to the co-owners Mr Rajdip and Sandip Gupta, the T20 Mumbai League aims to give wings to the best in business. They have expressed excitement to be the part of Mumbai’s one of the major leagues.
“T20 Mumbai league started with the aim of bringing the best local cricket talent of Mumbai. We are very thrilled to be a part of the second season for T20 Mumbai League. And we are looking at finding some truly spectacular local cricket heroes in Mumbai. We are looking forward for an exciting tournament,” the duo maintained in a release.
Over the years, Mumbai has given a lot to cricket. Also, major players have also made it to the national team which in itself included Tendulkar.
In conclusion, the league will allow the young breed of cricketers to showcase their skill in the bustling city.
While looking at the North Mumbai Panthers, they boast about a decent batting line-up apart from a quality bowling department.
