The Mumbai-born teenage sensation Jemimah Rodrigues, who made her international debut for Indian women’s team in February 2018, is known for her boldness too.
Recently, the middle-order batter has responded to a Twitter user who tried to flirt with her.
The 18-year-old right-handed batter has played an essential role for the Under-19 team between 2017-18 season when she accumulated 1013 runs to make a major mark in the women’s cricketing circle.
Interestingly, Jemimah made a rapid rise before leapfrogging to the sixth spot in the ICC’s Twenty20 Internationals ranking for the women’s.
Jemimah, who is known for flaying the bowlers with her batting style, she is equally good at lambasting the trollers.
She did what she is known for the best. To be precise, the befitting reply.
Well, the Twitter user, who goes by the name of ‘Vman’, tweeted, “I like Jemimah. Very cute. Are you seeing anyone? @JemiRodrigues.”
To which Jemimah gave an interesting replying by saying, “After this match? I’m definitely seeing a bright future for Women’s Cricket! #WIPL #womenscricket #ipl #WomensT20Challenge.”
However, the other Twitter users were swept by a sharp response from Jemimah.
It is pertinent to mention that, in the four-match series of the Women’s T20 Challenge, Jemimah has played a vital role for the Supernovas-led by Harmanpreet Kaur.
Jemimah made a strong case for the Supernovas to make it to the grand final.
Also, the promising youngster has helped her team to thump Velocity led by Mithali Raj.
In the finale, Supernovas managed to win the game by four wickets as Jemimah managed to score 22 on May 11.
Earlier, she scored 24 against the Trailblazers on May 6, before returning with magnificent unbeaten 77 against Velocity.
For Indian women’s team, Jemimah has featured in 25 Twenty20 Internationals, and 10 ODIs.
The attacking batsman has amassed 608 runs at an average of 30.40. Besides, she has struck five half-centuries in the shortest version of the game.
In 10 ODI innings, she managed to score 186 runs with unbeaten of 81. Jemimah has a solitary fifty in the 50-over game under her name.
