Canadian striker Ian Hume, who is well known among football fans from India has joined Spanish Liga Adelante side SD Ponferradina, the club confirms. Ian Hume is renowned for his heroics in the two editions of Indian Super League, for which he featured for Kerala Blasters and Atletico De Kolkata.
It is also reported that the striker will come back to India once the third season of Indian Super League begins.
The 32-year-old striker started his career with Tranmere Rovers and then moved to Leicester City and enjoyed his best part of career. However, his career after leaving Leicester City was dull as he found it difficult to score regularly and keep himself fixed in a single club. However, things took a surprising turn as he joined Indian club Kerala Blasters for the opening season of the Indian Super League. He was the best player of the tournament with five goals and also helped the South Indian club to reach the final.
